The Beast of Yucca Flats (1961)

A rotund Russian spy Joseph Javorsky (Tor Johnson) is being chased through the Yucca Flats, Nevada Test Site by agents trying to get a briefcase full of secrets he possesses about the United States. As the chase ensues an Atomic bomb is detonated killing the agents but covering Javorsky with burned skin, insanity and a homicidal drive. Javorsky suddenly is turned into a beast and roams the Nevada desert seeking people to kill. This was the last starring role for cult actor Tor Johnson and he would appear in only one more film until his death in 1971 but this movie definitely deserves it’s cult status.
